International experiences that transform our students. IS33 is actively engaged in concrete European projects to foster global awareness, citizenship, and the skills of tomorrow.
At International School 33, we believe that an excellent education goes beyond the walls of the classroom. Our school stands out for its dynamism and its ability to offer students unique, meaningful, and deeply transformative international experiences.
Through the Erasmus+ programme, our students take part in ambitious European projects that place them at the heart of the action: international diplomacy, technological innovation, historical memory, and environmental engagement. These initiatives allow them to travel, collaborate with peers from other countries, debate, create, reflect—and above all, take action.
These mobility experiences also enable students to obtain an official Erasmus+ certification, known as Youthpass, which is recognized worldwide. This certificate highlights the skills developed during the projects and represents a valuable asset for their academic and professional path, demonstrating their commitment, dynamism, and ability to thrive in an international environment.
More importantly, our Erasmus+ projects help shape students who are aware of global challenges, capable of dialogue, innovation, and engagement. At International School 33, we do not simply prepare our students to succeed academically—we support them in becoming thoughtful and responsible global citizens committed to building a better world.
ErasmusUnited for a Better Future
International School 33 is proud to present MUNCONNECT – United for a Better Future, a project co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme and led by students from the IS33 association involved in Model United Nations (MUN) activities.
Thanks to this European funding, our students had the opportunity to host in Bordeaux young participants from Turkey, Romania, Palestine, and Cyprus, all engaged in United Nations simulation activities.
Scientific innovation at the heart of Europe
As part of the Erasmus+ programme, International School 33 coordinates the RoboSTEM Tri-Nations project, in partnership with an international school in Spain and a technological institution in Turkey specializing in applied sciences.
This project is part of a European cooperation initiative aimed at developing excellence in robotics, programming, and artificial intelligence.
RoboSTEM enables our students to:
The project is not limited to students. Mobility programmes and joint training opportunities enable teachers to deepen their pedagogical practices and integrate emerging technologies more effectively into their lessons. This professional development directly benefits the entire school community.
Beyond technical skills, they develop critical thinking, creativity, the ability to work in international teams, and autonomy.
RoboSTEM reflects International School 33’s commitment to innovative and international education. By combining academic excellence, European cooperation, and advanced technologies, the project prepares our students to thrive with confidence in a constantly evolving digital world.
Shaping the future through history
As part of the Erasmus+ programme (KA210), International School 33 coordinates the project MUEAH – United Memories: Shaping the future through history, in partnership with schools in Croatia and Poland.
This project brings together European students around a collaborative exploration of the Second World War, with a historical, intercultural, and civic approach. Students’ work (blogs, journals, videos, digital exhibitions) is shared on a common platform that encourages exchange and collective reflection.
The project includes two major pedagogical trips, which are highlights of the experience.
Students will visit key D-Day sites:
The second mobility will take students to Warsaw to deepen the memorial dimension through:
These visits will be complemented by reflection workshops on remembrance, European reconciliation, and peacebuilding.
These two trips will provide a meaningful immersion in key European sites of memory, fostering a shared and vivid understanding of history.
MUEAH goes beyond the study of the past. It aims to:
By working together, students learn to confront their national perspectives, engage in respectful dialogue, and build a shared European memory.
Through United Memories, International School 33 reaffirms its commitment to an open, rigorous, and deeply humanistic education.
This project helps our students understand that history is not only a legacy of the past, but also a collective responsibility to build a more peaceful and united future.
Youth in action for nature and the environment
The Eco-Explorers project (JANE – Youth in Action for Nature and the Environment) is an Erasmus+ mobility initiative led by the IS33 association. It brings together around 40 young Europeans, united by a common goal: to take concrete action for environmental protection and become ambassadors of sustainable development.
This project is fully aligned with European priorities related to the ecological transition, non-formal education, and youth civic engagement.
Eco-Explorers is structured around three complementary international mobilities: :
An immersion in an exceptional natural environment, with workshops on biodiversity, the protection of coastal ecosystems, and concrete actions such as cleaning natural sites.
A mobility focused on Mediterranean climate challenges, forest fire awareness, and the preservation of natural environments. Students develop their understanding of environmental issues specific to different regions of Europe.
An exchange dedicated in particular to the impact of our food choices on the environment, sustainability, and local actions promoting more responsible lifestyles.
Throughout the project, students take part in:
The project is based on participatory methods that promote autonomy, intercultural cooperation, and learning through action.
Eco-Explorers enables students to develop:
The skills acquired are recognized through European certification tools such as Youthpass, which values non-formal learning.
Beyond mobility experiences, the project aims to:
Through Eco-Explorers, the IS33 association reaffirms its commitment to fostering an active, responsible youth that is aware of today’s environmental challenges.
