Our educational mission

We place students at the heart of our educational project, with particular attention paid to their well-being and development.

Our goal

To enable students to be happy to go to work, to be respected as individuals, to have self-confidence, to respect others and to feel at ease in their environment.

Our commitment

Providing a calm and stimulating working environment, ensuring quality teaching, building a relationship of trust with parents, respecting students and enabling them to give their best.

Our teaching methods

International Baccalaureate programmes that develop critical thinking, value cultural diversity and enable each student to achieve personal fulfilment.

What our families appreciate

A survey of our families revealed that IS33 is particularly appreciated for the quality of its teaching, which is both demanding and inspiring, and delivered in a caring and secure environment.

Parents see the school as a multicultural establishment.

Our personalised support is one of IS33's strong points: families emphasise the community spirit and family dimension of the school, where each student is known, supported and considered as an individual.

Our educational philosophy: rigour and personal development

International School 33 (IS33) is the joy of going to school and the guarantee of excellent academic standards.

At IS33, we believe that academic excellence and personal development go hand in hand. Our pedagogical approach is based on the conviction that young learners thrive in a demanding, structured and caring environment.

Rigorous teaching methods

Demanding programmes that develop the intellectual curiosity, knowledge and determination needed to succeed.

The development of every student

A focus on personal development, self-confidence and individual sensitivity.

An international outlook

An education that values cultural diversity and cultivates a global perspective.

Quality teaching tailored to each child

IS33 is one of 5,300 schools teaching the International Baccalaureate® (IB) programmes to over one million students worldwide.

The joy of going to work

Difference and valuing each individual's personality

Self-confidence and autonomy

A taste for learning

Curiosity

Children are treated as individuals with their own personality, so that they can develop their unique abilities to the full.

The teachers at International School 33 are used to working with children with high intellectual potential. They allow them to develop at their own pace, while taking into account their great sensitivity.

Children receive a comprehensive education, with specific weekly lessons in physical activities (motor skills for younger children and sport for older children) and artistic activities (music and art). Children are encouraged to develop their creativity. This is fundamental to their development and will enable them to find their own solutions to problems later on.

IS33's decision to join the world of IB schools is in line with the continuity of its Montessori and multilingual education project. In fact, the teaching methods involve more research on the part of the teachers and better monitoring on the part of the coordinators and management. The principles of Montessori teaching will not be abandoned, as the materials will remain in place in the classrooms.

At IS33, the IB combined with the Montessori pedagogy enables us to train people who are open to the world, adaptable, self-confident and respectful of others and their environment.

Students at IB World Schools develop strong academic, social and emotional skills. They are also more likely to succeed academically, and often achieve better results than students on non-IB programmes. The teaching provided at IS33 therefore goes beyond the strictly academic dimension, helping students to explore and build their personal and cultural identities. (source : www.ibo.org)

Language teaching at IS33

At IS33, language learning is at the heart of our educational project. From kindergarten onwards, pupils are taught in a multilingual environment that encourages cultural openness and the mastery of several languages.

🇫🇷🇬🇧 French-English bilingualism, the cornerstone of our education system

At IS33, teaching is bilingual in English and French from kindergarten and throughout primary school.

Pupils study all subjects - mathematics, language, natural and human sciences, art and personal, social and physical education - in both languages, with as many hours in French as in English.

Teachers give lessons in their mother tongue.

At secondary school:

Bilingual pupils join the international section to study English language and literature. They will sit bilingual IB exams at the end of their course.

Non-bilingual students join a dedicated section, with support adapted to their level and enabling them to progress at their own pace.
