Teaching structure

The Diploma programme IB

Students follow a challenging and stimulating two-year programme (equivalent to grade 11 and 12), based on six core subject groups and complemented by three core elements. This structure encourages a balance between academic knowledge, personal reflection, social engagement and the development of transferable skills.

The Common Core

Theory of Knowledge (ToK)

Get students to think about the nature of knowledge and to examine how we know what we claim to know.

The extended essay

Enables students to carry out independent, personal research culminating in a 4,000-word written work.

Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS)

Students complete a project based on these three concepts to develop creativity, physical commitment and community service.

The 6 Subject Groups

Group 1

Studies in language and literature

French, English...

Group 2

Group 3

How do you choose your materials?

Each student chooses the language of instruction for their diploma: in French, English or both languages (bilingual diploma), depending on your language profile and ambitions.

Students choose one subject from each of the first five groups and one additional subject (art from group 6 or second subject from groups 1 to 5).

NS

Higher level

3 to 4 subjects - In-depth, rigorous study

NM

Standard level

2 to 3 subjects - Solid, comprehensive study

Assessment and continuous assessment

Final assessment includes rigorous continuous assessment: depending on the subject, 20 to 30 % of the final mark is made up of personal work or internal exams marked by the teachers and then moderated by the IB. In this way, the seriousness, perseverance and commitment of each student are rewarded throughout the year, and not just through final exams. Assessment and continuous assessment take place at the school, which has been approved as an examination centre.

Excellence & Well-being

Our Pedagogical approach

Our aim is to help each student develop a strong personal ambition, based on his or her talents, passions and life goals. Thanks to a committed teaching team and a structure on a human scale, we guide each student towards building a solid project.

Quality teaching and personal development for secondary school pupils

High school students live in an environment conducive to personal development. The teachers pass on their passion by stimulating the desire to learn. As the demands of the entrance examinations for higher education have not diminished, it is essential to maintain a very high standard throughout the school year.

Classes of 20 students maximum - Effective, personalised support for each student
Respect for individuality - A format that allows everyone to be respected within the framework of the programmes
Consistent academic excellence - Choosing your path, happy, free and fulfilled

We help people more by giving them a favourable image of themselves than by constantly pointing out their faults.
