English lessons: fun learning for children aged 3 and above
Every Wednesday, International School 33 opens its doors and offers immersive English workshops for children from kindergarten to Year 6 (aged 3 to 11). Led by Philippa, a qualified and experienced English-speaking teacher, and Sophie, a French-speaking assistant, these sessions offer a fun and creative approach to discovering the language in a different way.
Children learn in a caring and familiar environment, with activities tailored to their age group, encouraging curiosity, confidence and the joy of learning.

The English Club is not just an English class: it is an immersive experience where children learn naturally through games, creative projects and cultural discoveries. Every Wednesday, the school offers new themes that stimulate their imagination and enrich their vocabulary.
Currently, we offer the following themes and activities:

🍂 Autumn discovery: treasure hunts, artistic creations using seasonal colours.

🏴☠️ Pirates: cooking like buccaneers, learning sailors’ vocabulary, making inspired creations.

FAQ – English Club IS33
The workshops welcome children from the age of 3 until the end of Year 6 (11 years old). This allows us to offer activities tailored to each age group and to monitor the children’s progress throughout their primary school years.
Not at all! Our workshops are designed for all levels, including complete beginners. The activities are fun and immersive, allowing children to discover English gradually, with confidence, while having fun.
Wednesday remains a flexible day. Children can choose to participate in the scheduled activities or enjoy alternatives that suit their preferences. Our teachers ensure that each child can flourish at their own pace and according to their interests.
The workshops are led by Philippa, a qualified and experienced English teacher who specialises in teaching English to children. She is accompanied by Sophie, a French-speaking assistant whom the children already know and appreciate for her kind guidance and daily support.
All workshops take place directly at International School 33 in Gradignan. Children learn in a safe, spacious and pleasant school environment that is conducive to learning and play. The facilities allow for both indoor activities and outdoor activities in the school’s tree-lined courtyard.
