Each new period, the kindergarten students discover a new theme, and to begin this new year, we introduced the theme “being unique” by first approaching the similarities humans have.
During the first three weeks, students learned about the human body: body parts, function, organs, and skeleton. We provided them with various activities to explore the functions of the human body.

Then they observed the changes that the body goes through as it grows. This allowed them to address the question of differences and what makes us unique.
They learned that physical characteristics are not the only attributes that make us unique. In fact, the country we come from or the language we speak make us who we are.

The students went on a journey to discover various countries through songs. They are now able to say “Hello” in nine different languages thanks to the song “Hello to all the Children”.
They enjoyed discovering for themselves and through transdisciplinarity that each individual is unique.
