This year our students have the chance to discover new sports. Indeed, we have decided to open the minds of our students by having them discover a variety of sports mostly played in other countries. This is how our CM1 students were introduced to field hockey (street field hockey).

This discipline encourages a variety of development in children: motor skills, dexterity, coordination, balance, left/right and top/bottom dissociation, but also the handling of the stick which requires perfect control of the body. This handling of the lacrosse arouses the interest of children and is different from other team sports. Indeed, each child has a lacrosse stick, which allows him/her to be really involved in the activity.

Fair play, team spirit and no physical contact are the rules of conduct for this sport. The young field
hockey players really like it and voted for the renewal of this cycle sometime very soon.
